Q. 1. US Marshals asked Randy Weaver, who was only slightly involved with the Ayrian Nation to become an informant. 2. Weaver refuses (he has committed no crime at this point). 3. The Marhsalls are angry that anyone would turn them down --- they are, after all, God-like. And, you have to do whatever they say. 4. The Marshals decide they will entice Weaver to break the law so that he has to become an informant or go to jail. 5. The US Marshals use a sting to entrap Weaver into saying that will he saw off a few shotgun barrels for them. They had asked him to get machine guns for them but he laughed and told them he had no access to such things. 6.
