When a teacher commits an act of heinous injustice, can he just recite a proverb to get away with it?
Q. My teacher committed an unjust (and heinous) act. One of the girls raised her hand and point out the injustice. He recited a proverb. Was he trying to use misdirection with the proverb? By pretending to have some wisdom, was he able to mystify the students? Edit, Kentucky Guy, I doubt he was getting anyone to think; he wanted them to obey. Without thinking.

Is the Arizona immigration law a just law, just for who? if unjust for who?
Q. Assuming the two camps are american citizens and illegal aliens, then who is getting justice and who is getting injustice? To me ...the question is what is just for american citizens? Is it their country, their state Arizona and their politicians who are supposed to serve them? ...and have they been getting justice from those politicians? now that the politicians passed a law, are they beginning to give justice to americans??? thats the way I see it.
Asked by jesswzmn - Sat May 1 01:45:39 2010 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Do I think it is a just law? Well yes I do. I do not believe that illegals should be able to have the same benefits that many legal people have. At one point in time most, if not all Americans were immigrants. Now what is the difference between illegals and legal immigrants legal immigrants have to pay taxes and help the country as compard to illegals who do not have taxes and no loyalty to this country. They will work and take any job at a lesser coast taking away jobs for many American people. I believe that all illegal people should be sent back, or given help to register as legal Americans. No one should come into a country, take goods from it and give nothing in return

Do you think that there is a greater chance for injustice in the legislation of laws, or in the execution?
Q. Is it more likely that laws will be made unjust, or that they will be executed in an unjust way?
Asked by Spud - Sun Aug 5 08:24:21 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I think it is the execution simply because there is usually more public insight when it comes to legislation. People and special interest groups watch bills in the legislature and offer suggestions, make calls, send letters. There is little oversight in execution of those laws. Think about sexual abuse laws. Child sex abuse is a horrible crime that needs to be prosecuted. But many, many times the law is used unjustly in the wrong circumstances. How many 17-18 year old kids engage in sex? Lots. Is that the same as a middle aged person abusing a child. No. But the same laws are used. Same thing with battery. Some things are a battery like an adult swatting a kid on the bottom. Forty years ago in the past all the adults in a… [cont.]

Q. Can we ever be rid of unjust actions and behaviour? Why wouldn't God put a stop to these blatant injustices?
Asked by small - Thu Jul 19 07:36:23 2007 - - 15 Answers - 1 Comments

A. I believe that we can stop this kind of behavior in the world; but is starts with ourselves and it is an overwhelming thing to accomplish. It takes masses of people to change the way they see themselves and their effects on other people, and then to consciously change the way they do things. Unfortunately people can t just change that quickly or that easily and also most people simply don t want to. Many people see that the world is unfair and unjust and don t take the time to care about other people. They aren t even courteous to their neighbors or the person waiting in line next to them anymore, because of something that someone else has done to them. This causes a snowball reaction spanning lifetimes of hate and distrust. We teach it to… [cont.]

What determines the justice and injustice of a society?
Q. Is justice or injustice of a society is measured by the manner in which it handles dissent? In my opinion the justice or injustice of a society is based on multiple factors; besides, one cannot judge an entire society by those who are in power because they do not accurately reflect the entire populace. Am I on the right track?
Asked by unknown - Tue Feb 10 20:57:17 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Justice and determination of justice depends on the society/nation. In the US, justice supposedly comes from the law which is based on the constitution - Government of Law. In Iran - the Mullahs interpret the law from the Qur'an and a very different result from Mullah to Mullah - some will hang people for just being gay, or stone a woman after she was forcibly raped. A. Have you or someone in your family been subject to "injustice" in the justice system? If so, describe. If not, do you have an opinion of whether there are distinct areas, as opposed to isolated, individual cases, where there is injustice in the justice system? Do you have an opinion if any class of people, either by race, creed, gender, sexual preference, poor, rich, religious preference, or the like receive a different brand of justice than do all others? What is that opinion? What is your opinion, if you have one, of what can be done to provide close-to-equal quality legal representation to all, rich or poor. Do you have an opinion that the poor should receive whatever quality, or lack of quality, that they can afford? Or should the… [cont.]

A. I don't feel anything except contempt for people who WON'T help themselves out of a situation and blame anyone for their"plight" except themselves. And the injustice in THAT is, they expect tax payers to feed and clothe them! They call it "Entitlement" ! One thing that sticks in my mind is, when two people commit the same offence, one poor, and the other rich and has connections, the poor guy usually lands up doing hard time in jail for years, and the rich guy gets a slap on the wrist, and at the very most, gets a couple of months in a white collar jail facility!!! Same offence, but different sentences!!! There's no justice in that!!! The Sheen case, is a good example! Injustice for some poor innocent slob with no money to pay for a… [cont.]

Do we have a right to be angry because an injustice was done to our ancestors?
Q. Many individuals belonging to minority groups seem to be incensed about injustices done to their ancestors. I ask what entitles them to this anger. Please don't post about continued prejudice, I acknowledge the right to anger at an injustice done to you, but that's not what this question is about.

It seems very popular to be angry...even hate white people..it is the only race where it is both proper, and politically correct (now there is a contradiction in terms) to joke about...diss...and otherwise slam them. Racism in any form is wrong...so why are the whites being singled out as free game for this activity?

Is it unjust to strengthen a species by hardship, hurting those alive, but for the good of those to come?
Q. Things like plagues, starvation, hardship; people always blame God, and say, "Why does God allow it?" However, without those things, we would become weak. The human race are where we are today because of being strengthened and hardened. In fact, the process is still continuing. Is it unfair? Is it unjust? Or is it fair and just, according to the Great Designers Higher purpose, which spans not just our lives, but entire generations? What do you think?

A. Depends on what the ultimate goal is. The better question is: since God is omniscient enough to know what the ultimate outcome of his little experiment will be, and omnipotent enough to create ANYthing, why even BOTHER with creating the Universe in progress? Why not just "poof" the finished product into existence instead?

Q. The United Nations Organisation has set aside some special dates for observance of various problems of international concern. Many organisations have cried out against injustice worldwide pointing out that only real justice can ensure lasting peace in our world. But it looks like world leaders/rulers are all along shouting peace without ensuring justice in all its ramifications. Let us all remember Cause and Effects.

A. You observe World Peace Day to support the idea of world peace not the fact that there is no peace in the world. The idea is to let the rest of the world know that you support the ideal and not the reality.

A. injustice can be connotated as unfair. Justice which is the base word, is a law and order word to describe a fair decision to a crime. "In" is a negative prefix, which has the same meaning as "non." The word is used in court cases to prove to the jury and the judge that a type of punishment is not comparable to the crime that the criminal has committed. For example: Johnny killed his mother and the opposing side of the court might say that putting Johnny in jail for only three years is injustice; therefore, Johnny should be put on death-row to serve justice.
