Do you think that there is a greater chance for injustice in the legislation of laws, or in the execution?
Q. Is it more likely that laws will be made unjust, or that they will be executed in an unjust way?
Asked by Spud - Sun Aug 5 08:24:21 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I think it is the execution simply because there is usually more public insight when it comes to legislation. People and special interest groups watch bills in the legislature and offer suggestions, make calls, send letters. There is little oversight in execution of those laws. Think about sexual abuse laws. Child sex abuse is a horrible crime that needs to be prosecuted. But many, many times the law is used unjustly in the wrong circumstances. How many 17-18 year old kids engage in sex? Lots. Is that the same as a middle aged person abusing a child. No. But the same laws are used. Same thing with battery. Some things are a battery like an adult swatting a kid on the bottom. Forty years ago in the past all the adults in a… [cont.]

Do animals understand injustice?
Q. My one cat seems to get angry when the other cat is fed before her or gets more attention. Do you think animals understand injustice, as we may feel an that undeserved pay raise or undeserved praise to a fellow co-worker may be unjust? DoctorReggin - Thanks for responding. I believe animals may be misclassified. The more human-like qualities we see in them, how can we justify eating them or giving them cancer? However, in the same breath, I do say animals were made to be eaten, as is the planet's design. Animals eat other animals on this planet as a function of their biology.

When confronted by an unjust situation, is a person required to act?
Q. If the unjust situation is in context of friendship or family, would this make a difference? Should this make a difference?
Asked by Lou155 - Sun Oct 21 06:26:53 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The question is too vague. The term "unjust situation" covers too much ground. If you see someone beating a small child, the answer is yes, you have a moral duty to intercede. On the other hand, I understand that making a citizens arrest for jaywalking can get you beat up.

A. Fighting injustice was what Jesus was all about. Those who follow his teachings make every effort to level the playing field for the poor and downtrodden. See the Beatitudes from the Sermon on the Mount in the Book of Matthew (one source: ). The unfortunate side of the fight for injustice among the followers of Jesus is that often, they do not see themselves accurately and thus accept society's norms and mores rather than thinking for themselves, looking at what the culture accepts as normal that's really injustice, and saying, "Hey! That ain't right!" Someone else will have to support Islam.

What can you do if you believe your judge was unjust and biased?
Q. My dad's check was being garnished at about the rate of 300 dollars every check. Well, he filed a paper to take those people to court to possibly make smaller payment arangements. Well, my parents got together a lot of evidence saying that after bills and everything they'd only have about 200 every two weeks to live on. My dad also has been taken a cut in hours and had to use up his vacation time to make up for lost time. He had check stubs to prove this. In court the lawyer for the creditors lied and said they owed over 5000 dollars and never paid a payment. This is not true, and my dad had evidence to prove it. The judge ruled in favor of the creditors without looking at ANY evidence. My question is, what should they do? Do you think… [cont.]

A. If your dad legitimately owes the debt then it really would not mean anything other than promotion of good character to show he has made payments previously on the debt. He hasn't satisfied the debt in full therefore he still owes regardless. To prove that your family would be low on living money after the garnishing is something most courts do not take into consideration, as harsh as it sounds. If the judge saw he was making payments, he would still have his check garnished since the debt is still open. In my opinion it would be a waste of money to have a lawyer file an appeal to a different Judge since his check will still be garnished either or, so my suggestion if this debt is eating away would be to file bankruptcy. Personally I do… [cont.]

A. Have you or someone in your family been subject to "injustice" in the justice system? If so, describe. If not, do you have an opinion of whether there are distinct areas, as opposed to isolated, individual cases, where there is injustice in the justice system? Do you have an opinion if any class of people, either by race, creed, gender, sexual preference, poor, rich, religious preference, or the like receive a different brand of justice than do all others? What is that opinion? What is your opinion, if you have one, of what can be done to provide close-to-equal quality legal representation to all, rich or poor. A. de-institutionalization on the mentally ill in the 80's. The money that was spent caring for them was supposed to go to community mental health center so they give care there. The money never made it. So it is basically a unfunded mandate. The mentally ill are, in my opinion, are receiving worse care today than 20 years ago.

A. 1) all kingdoms pass away. even the US superpower is going to be 'just another country' one day. 2) there are examples of injustice all over the world, in every country, in all areas of life. some are major, some are minor. -- often you don't know they are going to threaten your life, until you're being herded into a gas chamber these are just empty platitudes - nice words with no real meaning in real life

How feasible will it be to observe a World Peace Day in the face of injustice all over the place?
Q. The United Nations Organisation has set aside some special dates for observance of various problems of international concern. Many organisations have cried out against injustice worldwide pointing out that only real justice can ensure lasting peace in our world. But it looks like world leaders/rulers are all along shouting peace without ensuring justice in all its ramifications. Let us all remember Cause and Effects.

A. You observe World Peace Day to support the idea of world peace not the fact that there is no peace in the world. The idea is to let the rest of the world know that you support the ideal and not the reality.

Q. How many courts, how many laws and how many rules can u count? evrywhere written constitutions saying that my citizens are happy, grateful but the reality is totally opposite. police system and courts, governments completely using for degraded citizens then why they collect taxes for expenditure from all citizens? why this kind of open injustice? the courts laws what they are doing, just front of them here is crimes are increasing why?
Asked by DAUOD M - Fri Nov 7 05:17:17 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Paying taxes is civilized as long as governments can be criticized and people have open, democratic elections. I pay taxes where I live for universal health care access, to help people who live in poverty, to have a caring animal control system, to have nice parks for everyone, to upgrade my water service from lead to copper, to have a good police force and an adequate public transportation system. I could go on for a long time. The more babies people have= the more government we need. Overpopulation is your biggest obstacle to less government.
