From Google News Search: "Victims and Survivors" what are the roles and responsibilities of the commisioner for victims and survivors in NI? Q. This is a job commanding a salary of 65000 per year so not quite as hilarious as johndude might think. Vicims extend to those who did not wish to become involved so a history lesson on the trouble in NI might enlighten him. Asked by bannside - Fri Nov 2 09:11:05 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. All..? Q. ...survivors were victims; but not all victims were survivors? Asked by sylvester m - Sat Sep 20 10:01:13 2008 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments A. Having been both a victim and a survivor I don't know why anyone would want to reverse the roles. When one is in the victim position it is not good and when others see them or accuse them of being otherwise it can be hurtful and harm the victim even more. And it is so true...there are so many victims who never make it over to the survivors side...not only by death, but also are scarred mentally and physically. Peace & Love :) Answered by latj - Sat Sep 20 14:58:07 2008 Is this a reasonable attempt to create a holocaust memorial?
Q. I have to create a memorial for holocaust victims (survivors and those that died) and i have to do it sensitively. Is this idea ok? It is a picture of two sets of clothing worn by prisoners caught in barbed wire, one is an adult size, the other is child sized. There are no bodies in the clothing. The clothing is caught in the position that the larger body looks as if it was waving and holding the hand of the other. This is meant to show that the people there had been shot whilst trying to call for attention or trying to escape. It shows that there was no mercy (the child killed too). Is this okay as a memorial? any improvements that you could suggest would be appreciated, or if i should scrap the idea would be appreciated. Thanks i hope… [cont.] Asked by omnipay@y7mail.com - Sat Jul 24 18:30:11 2010 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. That sounds quite moving. Your image allows space for the viewer's own emotions and different interpretations. Not everyone will 'get' it, of course, but for those who do it may be quite powerful in its simplicity. I don't see this as a statue. What comes to my mind, from your description, is your image in a shadow box, with depth behind it and also the containment of the box reinforcing the sense of closed-in-ness and isolation. I think you have a really good idea and should take it seriously. Answered by The angels have the Bellevue. - Sun Jul 25 04:18:26 2010 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Victims and Survivors" |
